⭐ THE DEFINITION OF A BROKER
According to the U.S. Code, Title 49. Transportation, Section 13102: “The term “broker” means a person, other than a motor carrier or an employee or agent of a motor carrier, that as a principal or agent sells, offers for sale, negotiates for, or holds itself out by solicitation, advertisement, or otherwise as selling, providing, or arranging for, transportation by motor carrier for compensation.”

If there is no definition for “DISPATCHER”, then what does a “Dispatcher” do? “Dispatchers” search for loads on load boards, book loads, help keep Carriers loaded, request certificates of insurance, help fill out Broker packets in a timely fashion, make endless phone calls, verifying loads, leave voicemails, send emails, etc. Is that “BROKERING”?
