Amazon Whole Foods and Instacart Workers Stage Walkout
Whole Foods Market workers staged a ‘sick-out’ strike on Tuesday over employee protections during the current pandemic. The organizer of an Amazon warehouse walkout on Monday has been fired.
Meanwhile, Instacart shoppers also held a strike this week over a lack of “essential protections” provided to workers delivering groceries. Their demands include providing workers with safety items and an expansion of its coronavirus pay to include those with underlying health conditions.
