🎙 Final Preview of 2020 NADA Show with COVID-19 Update

Final Preview of NADA Show 2020

Editor’s Note: This post was updated on April 5 to include the podcast released on this day which provides contrast to the conversation featured in this post.

The 2020 NADA Show took place this year in Las Vegas, with formal activities having kicked off on Friday, February 14 and running through Monday, February 17. In fact, our PR team had lined up an aggressive agenda with some of our sponsoring partners, which you can learn more about in this post.

The show had come up on multiple occasions over the last few Auto Retail Marketing webcast panels we had conducted, including last month’s panel. All of which were, of course, prior to the global Coronavirus pandemic.

With more than a century of experience, NADA has worked to represent and further the interests of new-car and -truck dealerships. Every aspect of the NADA Show is designed to help dealers win big at retailing. From franchise meetings and workshop sessions to shopping the Expo floor, there is something new and exciting for every attendee.

The NADA Expo is the auto industry’s premier marketplace of products, services and technologies specifically targeted to franchised new car dealerships. More than 700,000 square feet of exhibits highlight more than 500 manufacturers and suppliers of the hottest products and coolest technologies.

In this webcast panel, we took one final look at this year’s activities and talked more specifically about the impact that Exhibitors and Allied Industry have on the DEALER EXPERIENCE. And in the very end we briefly brought up any potential concerns about the novel Coronavirus which led to a two-minute conversation, featured in the aforementioned podcast.

Preview of Salt Lake City, Utah VW Dealership Website

As part of today’s program we have invite AutoConversion Member Darren Farnsworth to showcase a new website his company has recently unveiled for a VW dealership in Salt Lake City. The website – www.strongvw.com – presents a clean modern look that is uncommon with dealer sites, and it also features some tools and technologies that are unprecedented as well. Not to mention the site’s performance.

Key attributes and novelties of the site which Darren will discuss include:

  • Designed to eliminate the need for VDPs.
  • Each offer has its own page which is also the “infinite SRP.”
  • Maintains a 4:11 average site visit over the last 30 days.
  • Most 3rd party scripts have been eliminated to maintain user and business privacy, which also makes the site faster.
  • Faster site = better SEO rank and better conversion.
