Auto Review: 2012 Lexus HS 250h Hybrid

The 2012 HS 250h Hybrid is more than luxury vehicle. It’s a higher level of luxury than most luxury vehicles and all you have to do to realize it is to drive it. Just once.

Lexus really outdid themselves on this sedan. The combined EPA-fuel economy registers at 35 mpg. That’s 35 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. You’ll look long and hard to find those numbers again.

The engine uses twin cam technology with a 4-cylinder engine block. The intake is variable valve time with intelligence. The peak output is 147 horsepower on gasoline and 187 horsepower in hybrid mode.

The 2012 HS 250h Hybrid operates on two motors. The second motor serves as both a starter and a generator that charges the hybrid battery pack.

In addition to incredible features, the Lexus HS 250h has some great safety features to note. It incorporates a standard 10-airbag system with supplemental restraint and dual-stage airbags. There is an optional pre-collision system as well, which also utilizes dynamic radar cruise control and driver monitor to help reduce collision damage. The radar is designed to detect objects in front of the car. It works in conjunction with an engine speed monitor to tell how likely you are about to have a collision.

The 2012 Lexus HS 250h Hybrid is a car for the 21st century. If you want luxury, you can’t get any more than this luxury car.
